Physical Therapist Bio
"Recovery should be clear, achievable, empowering."
Kristin Goodrich, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT
Kristin Goodrich is a physical therapist passionate about helping people take control of their pain and recovery through the McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). She first witnessed its power during a clinical rotation in PT school, when a patient with six months of debilitating back pain walked out pain-free after one targeted exercise. That moment sparked a professional focus that has shaped her entire career.
Now certified in MDT, Kristin is dedicated to its logical, reproducible, and patient-centered approach. She believes in equipping patients with the tools and knowledge to heal themselves—building independence, confidence, and long-term health.
Learn More About the McKenzie Method
While she treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, Kristin has a particular focus on the spine. Her commitment is both professional and personal: having faced her own back and neck pain, she knows how disruptive—and draining—pain can be, affecting not just movement but also confidence, work, and quality of life. This firsthand experience gives her unique empathy for her patients and drives her mission to provide clear, achievable strategies for lasting recovery.
Kristin also brings decades of experience in sport and coaching. A collegiate rower who went on to compete for the U.S. National Team, she later guided athletes of all ages and abilities for nearly two decades. This background taught her how the body responds under real-world demands—whether long hours at a desk, the stress of training, or the challenges of staying active. By blending evidence-based therapy with a deep understanding of movement and performance, she helps patients recover efficiently, prevent injuries, and build resilience.
Outside her practice, Kristin embraces movement and the outdoors. She grew up running and riding horses on Bay Area trails, later adding rowing and cycling to her passions. Today, she still enjoys time on the bike and hiking local trails when she’s not gardening, drawing, or playing guitar.
